One of the required documents is the TRCN letter of professional standing. But lets familiarize you with TRCN incase you don’t know what they do.
The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is a regulatory body that oversees the registration, licensing, and certification of teachers in Nigeria. Another important document that the TRCN issues is the Letter of Professional Standing (LPS), which is required for teachers seeking to teach in certain countries such as the UK.

TRCN Examination
The first step would be to register for the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria examination. To do this, you must have an education qualification such as:
- National Certificate in Education (NCE)
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor of Science in Education (B.Sc. Ed.).
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
- Professional Diploma in Education (PDE)

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) license is a professional license that is required for individuals who wish to practice as professional teachers in Nigeria or internationally. The TRCN license is similar to other professional licenses in Nigeria, such as engineering, nursing, law, and medical licenses, etc.
For example, in order to practice as a nurse in Nigeria, one must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and possess a valid nursing license. Similarly, in order to practice law in Nigeria, one must be called to the bar and registered with the Nigerian Bar Association. This same with Engineering which is regulated by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Please note that the TRCN license is renewable after 3 years.
Apply for the Letter of Professional Standing
To get the the TRCN Letter of Professional Standing (LoPS), you must have both TRCN certificate and license. Then present them to any TRCN state office for processing.
The fee for this is N60,000 payable in any commercial bank in Nigeria. The time it takes to process the LoPS can vary, but you can follow up with the TRCN state office for updates on the status of your application.
Also note that the TRCN Letter of Professional Standing is only available to registered and licensed teachers, so if you have not yet completed these steps, you will need to do so before applying for the LoPS.

Look for someone in the state where you collected your certificate to apply on your behalf through the TRCN state offfice.
It is not a website, when you pay 60k through remita, you will have to proceed by sending your documents and evidence of payment to the website
I have applied for the letter of professional standing and am yet to receive any response. I was in their Lagos office and was told it was not in their purview to process. I was only given the the trcn mail, in which there has been no response till date. What further steps can I take.
The Letter of Professional Standing (LOS) issued by the TRCN is processed at their headquarters in Abuja. So do exercise some patience as the process may take some time to be completed.
I was told by TRCN Nigeria that my letter has being sent, to UK, only for me to get a mail from TRCN UK that my application for QTS was rejected because they didn’t receive my letter, what can I do

I wrote the PQE around 2018 and passed but I was unable to apply for certificate and licence. Can I apply for certificate and licence ? Am i still qualified or will I start afresh?
PQE is now valid for one year. So go to the state office where you took the exam right away and apply for your certificate. Otherwise, you will have to retake the exam.
