The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is a regulatory body that oversees the registration, licensing, and certification of teachers in Nigeria. The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) license is a professional license that is required for individuals who wish to practice as professional teachers in Nigeria or internationally. The TRCN license is similar to other professional licenses in Nigeria, such as engineering, nursing, law, and medical licenses, etc.
For example, in order to practice as a nurse in Nigeria, one must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and possess a valid nursing license. Similarly, in order to practice law in Nigeria, one must be called to the bar and registered with the Nigerian Bar Association. This same with Engineering which is regulated by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Please note that the TRCN license is renewable after 3 years.
